Girls Love Halo Interview – Boys Edition with Thomas

The second Boys Edition is out. This time I asked Thomas aka Halo Scotland to answer my 10 questions. My description of Thomas? True Scotsman, you won’t understand him if you are in a party with him, makes funny noises when he is playing Halo, used to be a descend Sniper (hehehe), takes amazing Screenshots and has a special type of humor. Which I understand and like very much. We met on Instagram over four years ago. Along this Interview you will see some of Thomas favorite screenshots. Enjoy!

1.  When did you start playing Halo?

Be warned I’m awful at writing about myself, way better talking to someone but here goes. I first started playing Halo when CE first came out. Well kinda, I just held the controller while my dad played. I was only 4 years old at the time so the old motor controls weren’t up to scratch to play an fps. If I had to say when I really got into it I’d say it was half way through Halo 3’s release. Yes I missed out on Halo 2 when it came out, what of it? I was a Sony Pony at the time.

2. If you could choose to be one character of the Halo universe, who would you be?

I would have to say…. See the suicidal Marine in Halo: Reach. Yea. That guy.

3. Do you have a favorite Halo quote?

„Fate had us meet as foes, but this Ring will make us brothers.“ Because the quote itself just shows how far the Chief and Thel Vadam had to go in order to save not only themselves but the galaxy from the Halo rings planned detonation.

4. What do you love most about Halo?

Now most people would say that they love the story but in all honesty I just love the screenshot community and the creativity it has birthed into the games. I started in Halo 4 because of you Lena and now 5 years later I’m happy to say I haven’t improved at all.

5. What do you hate most about Halo?

MCC. NEXT QUESTION PLEASE!!!!

Girls Love Halo Interview with Autumn

We are back with another Interview. I am very proud to have the talented Autumn aka Sh3Wolf on board. As many of you know she is a well known Screenshot artist in the Halo community since the Reach days. She was featured on Waypoint several times and she constantly manages to surprise her followers with stunning Screenshots. Let’s hear about her Halo story. Enjoy!

1.   When did you start playing Halo?

I started playing Halo probably around late 2009. Halo 3 was actually my first Halo. I was watching YouTube videos and came across Halo 3 videos and I just had to have the game which lead me to getting most of the other Halo games. Then in late 2012 I started doing Reach screenshots and eventually ended up being featured on Halo Waypoint and that really boosted my screenshot career.

2.   If you could choose to be one character of the Halo universe, who would you be?

I’m not really sure who I’d be. If I had to be someone it’d probably be Linda. She’s an amazing Sniper. However, my favorite character is the Grave-mind.

3.   Do you have a favorite Halo quote?

I actually don’t have a favorite Halo quote.

4.   What do you love most about Halo?

Probably the uniqueness. It’s not really that unique anymore sadly it’s gone more to the generic side of FPS. But the earlier Halos were very unique for the time. Only 2 weapons at a time, no sprint, and the story and lore is amazing. Plus all the other things you can do in the game like forge and screenshots. It’s just a really cool series alongside a really cool community.

New Screenshots

Since I’m very busy with real life I rarely get to take Screenshots anymore. That makes me very sad but hey, that is how it is. As I am typing this at 7 am in the morning (I am awake since 6 am) my daughter is messing with my Halo collection in the back. She is really fascinated by the UNSC bottle opener. If that is telling me something about her future I am scared 🙂

Well here are 4 shots I managed to take lately:

Don’t go into the light

Fotu_Halo5_Screenshot_ Splintergrenade

What the lamp is for the moth, the Splinter Grenade is for the Spartan. Countless times have I witnessed as my teammates or the enemy could not resist the urge to run into the aftermath of the Splinter Grenade. I assume it goes down like this: Spartan John Doe fights tooth and nail to win the duel with the red dude who comes at him with brute force. He manages to evade the Shotgun and throws a Splinter Grenade right at the enemy. Red dude vanishes to ashes and John Doe can’t help but let out a deep sigh. Gosh that was close. My shields are almost drained, the alarm is beeping like crazy…I need health! Over there. It sparkles. It looks like an orb, no, many orbs. Could it be? Could it be a health orb? I want to touch it. I am going in….ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…..pooooooooooooof.

Obviously I have been John Doe myself. But come on. Only in the beginning. When I didn’t know about the deadly aftermath of the Splinter Grenade. Now I know and I shake my head and sigh deeply, when once again, one of my teammates runs like a headless chicken right into the middle of the sparkling orbs. The sighing and head shaking quickly turns into red hot anger though, when the announcer mockingly snarls: Betraaaaayed. AS IF!!! AS IF!!! How can I be made responsible for the stupidity of my teammates? Hooooooow? (echoes endlessy).
